Uncover the hidden risks of HAR files

Nightfall’s API-based tool can help you to discover the historical data stored in your Zendesk tickets, comments, and attachments (including HAR, or HTTP Archive, files).

FAQs

Why do I need to scan my historical data?
Leaked secrets, keys, and credentials can cost companies far more than just fines. Scanning and remediating historical data can ensure compliance and minimize the blast radius of data breaches
Why do I need to scan my HAR files?
HAR (HTTP Archive) files are commonly shared to troubleshoot performance issues, but often contain access tokens, credentials, or other sensitive information that gets overlooked. If that information isn’t removed or redacted, it’s possible that threat actors could leverage it as part of a privilege escalation attack—as they attempted to do in the 2023 Okta data breach.
How does Nightfall scan my data?
Fill out the form to the left to schedule a meeting with our Solutions Engineering team. During the meeting, our team will deploy Nightfall's detection engine to scan for any sensitive data stored in Zendesk (including in HAR files). Once Nightfall’s scan is complete, you’ll receive an actionable risk assessment to improve your security posture.
What does Nightfall’s report look like?
Our actionable insight report is sent via email as a CSV export. The report shows the types of sensitive data that we found, along with precisely where they are in your Zendesk instance, so you can easily track them down. Fields include item type (e.g. files), Zendesk ID, Zendesk permalink, detector type (e.g. API key), detection confidence (e.g. likely or very likely), character location of sensitive data, and more.
