Slack is one of the most popular collaboration tools and at their annual conference today, Slack Frontiers has kicked off their two-day virtual conference to give you a glimpse into the future of work and fresh perspectives on how to help refine your skills in navigating complex work environments. Earlier this year, Slack was acquired by Salesforce and this year’s Slack Frontiers will be the company’s first, as a Salesforce company. For two full days, Slack Frontiers will have content for everyone, whether you’re new to Slack or a power user. They have taken the liberty to help create playlists customized for teams including in IT, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Service, and Government.

Here’s are 3 things we’re excited for at Slack Frontiers

How to support an evolving company culture

Slack is leading the charge for helping the world maintain continuity by keeping work moving in this new world. We’ve seen many companies adopt digital headquarters and create workspaces for employees to work from anywhere. It’s been over 2 years since COVID-19 and it’s changed how the world starts its workday and interacts with co-workers, partners, and customers. The way organizations work now has also created an additional challenge of keeping up with an evolving culture for a digital workspace. We’re excited to from Slack and their stories with Future Forum and Equinox.

New integrations with Salesforce

Before the acquisition, both Slack and Salesforce had created brands synonymous with innovative, next-gen, and fun. You couldn’t have a conversation about workplace collaboration tools without mentioning Salesforce and Slack. And with the acquisition being complete just four months before Slack Frontiers, we are eagerly anticipating to see what’s new for Slack in the Customer 360 approach.

Guest speakers advocating for change

Slack Frontiers has packed both days with an inspirational lineup of speakers that represent women and minorities. Expected guest speakers include:

  • Jennifer Doudna, Nobel Prize-winning co-inventor of CRISPR technology used to help treat disease with genome editing
  • Simone Biles, the world’s most decorated gymnast who used her platform to create awareness for mental health
  • Ellen Pao, CEO of Project Include, a non-profit on a mission to accelerate diversity and inclusion in the tech industry
  • Jane Fonda, Academy Award-winning actor, author, and activist
  • Bryan Stevenson, acclaimed lawyer, human rights activist, and advocate for ending mass incarceration and excessive punishment in the United States
